Yen-Chi Lu studied history at Soochow University (Taiwan) and political science at Free University of Berlin. He completed the master's degree in political science at the University of Bonn. Since December 2020, Yen-Chi Lu started working as a research fellow at CASSIS.

Prof. Dr. Maximilian Mayer

Junior-Professor of International Relations and Global Politics of Technology

Dr. Maximilian Mayer is Junior-Professor of International Relations and Global Politics of Technology at University of Bonn. He was assistant professor at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (2019-2020). He is also research fellow at Renmin University Beijing (2018-2020), worked as Research Professor at Tongji University, Shanghai (2015-2018) and was senior researcher at the Munich Center for Technology in Society, Technical University Munich (2018-2019). Maximilian worked at the Bonn University’s Center for Global Studies (CGS) as managing assistant and senior fellow (2009-2015). 

Dennis Lonsdorfer

Dennis Lonsdorfer holds a bachelor's degree in Politics and Society as well as in Philosophy from the University of Bonn.
At present, he is pursuing a master in Political Science at University Bonn.

Philip Nock, MA

Research Fellow

Philip Nock holds a bachelor’s degree in "History, Politics, and Society" as well as a master's degree in "Political Sciences" from Bonn University. During his studies, he spent a semester each in St Andrews (UK) and Toronto. Philip Nock pursues a Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Xuewu Gu, Chair of International Relations. Before working for CASSIS, he was a Graduate Research Assistant at the Chair of International Relations/Center for Global Studies at Bonn University, and a desk officer for the department Europe and International Relations of the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Louisa Schmökel

Research assistant

Louisa Schmökel graduated with a Bachelor in Political Science and History from the Technical University of Dresden and holds a master's degree in Political Science at the University of Bonn. Before joining CASSIS, she worked as an editor for the Tagesspiegel Background

Sebastian Trautwein

Sebastian Trautwein graduated with a Bachelor in Social Sciences from the University of Siegen and studied M.A. Political Science at the University of Bonn. Before joining CASSIS, he worked in the research team of an international executive search consultancy and was a research assistant at the Chair of International Relations/Center for Global Studies at the University of Bonn.
